Hello there, Mr. Hoffman! Sorry it's a bit offtopic.
My name is Sergei. I'm a big fan of Babylon 5/Crusade shows and especially everything that goes along with it's production process and stuff that was made for it during the production. Besides I'm a 2D designer for freeware computer game set in the same universe - "Babylon 5: I've Found Her" (http://ifh.firstones.com).
During the process of working on the game I've recreated some prop designs from the show, such as "Universe Today" newspaper (http://ifh.firstones.com/news/universetoday/).
We've tried to follow the shows in terms of props in everything possible including styles, fonts, colors, layouts, patches, insignias and so on.
I wonder if you can shed some light on your work on the shows, or maybe share some remaining stuff with us if you have any (I mean in electronic way, photos or designs we could use as reference) if it doesn't bother you much.
One of the particular interest to me is the person who was responsible for Earthforce personnel patches and insignia stuff.
We would appreciate any reply from you because you were directly involved in the process of making the show that inspires us, fans, still to go on and create game on our free time and will for fans like us who wish it was more of such a great thing as Babylon 5 universe.
I am a production artist and matte painter for the film industry. I really enjoy my work and am currently working on Roland Emmerichs "2012".
I love films, especially horror and sci-fi and will be discussing them frequently on this blog along with music, anything Disney and visual effects.
I have been in the film business since I was 17 so I guess that makes it over 20 years (phew!) doing everything from special effects to props and miniatures and now digital visual effects and production art.
